Jahi Di'Allo Winston, 14, kicked the year off with a major role opposite Taraji P Henson in Proud Mary, an action thriller about an assassin who must look after a teenage boy after a hit job goes wrong.

Hot on the heels of the film’s January release, Winston will next be seen playing one of the lead characters in Everything Sucks!, a new coming-of-age comedy set in 1990s Oregon, debuting on Netflix next week. In addition to acting, the young star also has a promising future in music, having released a single and played young Simba in the Broadway production of The Lion King.
